I just bought the 1984 #22 that was on Ebay. I restore cars as a hobby and my friend owns a shop so it will be done within the next 3 weeks.
Do you know anyone that makes upholstery kits for the original Recaro seats? These are pieces of junk at best. The heat works but nothing else. My parents own an upholstery shop and I was just trying to save some time.
I have to replace the entire stereo system because the left channel is the only one that works. I am going aftermarket but bought an original alpine that should have been in there when I bought it. (It has a Kenwood of correct era and to be honest my friends one in High School had a kenwood also) so I think 84 was bizarre at best. Does anyone know what it should be for sure?
It was a California car with the worst paint job I have ever seen. Maaco would be a step up from this one.
Thanks for any help you can give me. I have always looked for #48 but bought #22 because it was available.
Thanks in advance,

From my best guess, it seems that asc mixed and matched alpines and kenwoods.
I think your car would definitely have the post style radio....either kenwood or alpine.
www.ascmclaren.com is the place for the upholstery.

I checked and they don't have anything for the 84-86. I'll tell you this...don't contact Recaro. That was the biggest joke ever.
Thanks for the advice,
