Hi!.. My '86 vert has both 'Ford" horns as well as the air horns. Was like that when I bought the car , and still that way today.

Can you get really good picture regarding where they were placed? And the air compressor?

I think 85 was different. But at least I might get an idea where to put them in my 85.

My 85 coupe also had both sets of horns. The factory horns were not plugged in, from what I remember.

Hi mike!

I went to install the horns on my 86 roadster and had to hold off because of some questions. I picked up an NOS kit so I'm adding it to my car.

First, it looks like the 86 has to have the compressor on the passenger side because the battery is on the driver side (see Mike's pic). BUT, the horns go on the driver side? At least that is what it looks like in his other pic. The instructions say to use the shortest hose possible so I would think that they would go under the passenger side bumper?? Besides, there isn't enough hose in the kit.

Also, my kit came with a relay--where does that mount? Seems like that should be near the starter relay, which is on the Driver's side. In that case, then it looks like the compressor should be on that side, too??

The compressor on my '86 Coupe is on the passenger side. The horns are also on the passenger side. Mine look to be in the same location as Mike's car. I'm not sure about the relay. I'll have to look and see if I can find one mounted somewhere.
