i decided to "go with what i know" and picked up a 1981 Mercedes 380SLC.

i'll be back for my ASC Capri soon, maybe next year.

For those not keeping score on FEP, a few other locals took a look at the car this weekend and suggested the shock towers and frame rails might be rotting out, or already rotted. I'll take another look. If that's the case, I may not take the car without a significant price redux. Will see...

foureyedpride.com is geared very much to preservation of Capris and Mustangs, 79-86, but there are some very knowledgeable guys there that know their Fords inside and out and have extensive experience modifying/racing these cars.

Hi again. Since the Capri obviously shares the same major components with the 5.0 Mustang of the same era, what's the best 5.0 forum online? I did a search and there's maybe 50 different ones. Any recommendations? Stangnet? themustangsource? moddedmustangs? vintage-mustang?

I looked at the 85 in belleville mi,
It is all therer but every body part
Doors,hood,fenders,hatch is rusted beyound
Repair,seats and dash is real nice,
$1500 will buy it,kenwood and radar,and
Horn all therer,he has two more non asc
Parts cars/parts for and extra $500

I just don't have the space ...

There are a few of us here in Michigan that would go look at it. Don't be afraid that is in a winter state- it could be really nice car.

I haven't looked at it. Just been thinking the vert needs a mate

I looked into this car and almost made the trip out but it needed too much structurally (rusty floors etc) for me to get involved. The owner appears to be very knowledgeable and had at least 2 other (maybe 3 other) coupes in very nice condition. I'm not saying that anything was removed or swapped ...

Exactly. I figured you couldn't really know that unless it was a production anomaly of some kind or a special order where ASC changed the seats before selling the car to the dealer.
