Anyone know where this red wire with loop crimped onto it goes??

Black assumed ground and 3 wire connector goes to the pull down motor switch but I can’t find this red wire on any diagrams.

I also got the door cards from LMR and moved all my vinyl and carpet from the old door cards to the new ones. Luckily only my door cards were bad, the carpet and vinyl are still ok. I replaced my carpet last month. LMR had the light grey matching my 86 convertible. Carpet that came out was cut down the middle with minor additional trimming to clear the center console. I laid the old carpet on top of my new carpet and cut it the same.

As an fyi for anyone else having this issue:
Turns out there was a short due to chaffing wire under the carpet and in the area under the cargo bin on drivers side. I repaired those while replacing carpet.

In the trunk area where that wiring is located there is a plastic green box with a black top. The white wire connector harness for that box is unplugged and has a “jumper” wire attached to it. Is that green plastic box for the hatchback defrost only? And not used at ...

I am going to try to attach them to the new speakers once I put the interior back together. If they don’t fit they are yours.
