Hot Rod Power Tour

Post by svt1996cobra »

I just spent a rainy day at the Hot Rod Power Tour, had a great time. I have never looked at so many different cars! They were lined up for miles.

There was a high light for me, they thought enough of my GPIV to post a picture of the car the the Hot Rod Power tour website! Here's a link:

David, thats cool!

I was wondering if anyone on here was involved in this show or not. I didn't know anything about it until Sunday. My wife & I were on our way back from Cleveland to Northwest Ohio via Route 2 west. We probably passed 60-70 cars, all had the "power tour 2007" vinyl on them, LOTS of killer cars. It was cool. The amazing thing was, it was raining, kinda heavy at times and they just kept going. I was shocked when I came up on a '65 Cobra w/ 427.......

I was there when the guy pulled in with the Cobra! He had the protective cover over the interior and a hole for his head to stick out! Water ran out his door when he opened it! I have never been around so may hot rods at one time! It was a car guys dream!

I was there as well. Dave's Capri and my Capri were the only two there. Is anyone surprised? Nice to see Dave's Capri got some pic time. Despite the rain there was a really good turn out and it was still a ton of fun.

I really thought there would have been a couple more, especially a souped up capri or some race car but there wasn't. NO other ASC's were there. Mustang or Capri. Alot of Rousch and Saleen newer stuff. Should have come out. Like I said, despite the rain it was a blast and we saw alot of neat cars. It was a really good turnout IMO.

Damn, I would have loved to met the tour in Racine. I would have taken my 86 coupe #108 down for the day if only I had known. Racine is only about an hour away from me. Hopefully it will come up this way next year.
