Maybe I missed it, but where is the 85 blue listed? (you know the blue that is on the majority of the blue/orange hatchbacks?)..

There is no cross reference for that. It is the same color as what Ford used since the Coupes were not repainted by asc. So it is whatever midnight blue Ford offered in the Capris for 84, 85 or 86.

No, 84 85 & 86 Capri 'Verts are Porsche "Guards Red" CODE POR-027
Dupont-Ditzler

84 85 & 86 Coupes were not repainted, as Mike said and wear the color applied at the Ford Plant.

Like Sandy said. Verts were special. They got repainted...ALL of them. Coupes left asc with the original Ford paint.

I was confused because the Cross-Reference Sheet says that Porsche Guards Red was used in '84 and '88, with no reference to '86.

1984-1988, means 1984 thru & including 1988. I believe at Porsche dealers thjey sell small tubes of touch up.

Sandy, the list you sent me has a comma in it and that is the list I posted. Should it be changed to a dash?

The way it reads, it says:

84, 88 Muscat Red Porsche Guards Red or Audi Laser Red 027 (Porsche)H1H1 (Audi) 94-98

Which means only 84 and 88 got Guards Red. Also in another list you have ascMclaren Red - 1986 THRU 1990 with the same Ditzler number as the Muscat Red. So should it be 84-90?

This is correct. Please alter that Ref. List for me.

84- 88 "Muscat Red" ( Porsche Guards Red) or
Audi "Laser Red" 027 (Porsche)
H1H1 (Audi) 94-98

89-90 "Red Snapper" Merkur XR4Ti Radiant Red (OP) and/or
Ford vibrant Red
