There was a guy in the neighborhood trailering a K.I.T.T clone CAR across the country. He had this thing wrapped so tight with blankets and sheets and car covers...the final wrap was a plastic wrap sort of thing that kept all the blankets and car covers tight...it was neat to watch him wrap this thing up...I'm sure it was protected perfectly too.

I guess whatever works...the key I think is to keep it tight so the wind doesn't flap it around.

Automatic with 3.73:1 gears ???
Sandy,
It's a 5 speed, with AC and power windows, no power doors. It does have an Alpine as well but no radar detector. I don't have many other details. I will post pictures after I pick it up. I pm'd you the VIN #.

CKJ: Just for your info....

A/C and Pwr. Windows were standard equipment on the uplevel model Capri.

The Ford Factory options were:
Automatic Transmission
Power Door Locks / Hatch Release & Locking Remote Fuel Door
Speed Control
Pop-Up Manual Sun Roof
T-Tops

In a memo to dealers, it was strongly suggested that cars for inventory NOT be ordered with Speed Control, as the car then got the Low Level Capri 2-spoke steering wheel with spoke mounted speed control buttons, and NOT the specific (as pictured in all literature) ascMcLaren Leather wrapped, leather covered center pad steering wheel.

Furthermore, salespersonal were told to point out to customers ordering their ascMcLaren that by ordering the car with speed control they would NOT get the model specific ascMcLaren wheel.

I have (over all these years) come across less than 6 cars with Speed Control - because of that.

The ascMcLaren installed options were the Whistler Spectrum-II Superhetrodyne Integral Remote Rader Detecter, and REAR carpeted floor mats (fronts were standard).
The Alpine 7272 was standard equipment WITH the ascMcLaren Full Packaged model.

Well, no. The 6 I found were all the full packaged examples. I found that percentage-wise - more EuroCoupes have Cruise than do the Full Packaged examples.
