Dang, that is a beautiful car. The white looks phenomenal with the orange stripes, and I really like the white wheels.
Were there any exciting aspects to your long journey? Did you have a deal with Hank before you arrived at his place, or did you drive all the way out there in the hopes that an agreement could be reached?

We reached an agreement before I left. The drive was fairly uneventful but I did have a few scary situations. It seems that construction in Houston, San Antonio and most other major cities narrows the lanes significantly. Unlike the big rig trucks that are so heavy, it was really hard to keep the trailer in my lane and not hit the wall. I was sweating bullets in each of those towns.75coug wrote:Dang, that is a beautiful car. The white looks phenomenal with the orange stripes, and I really like the white wheels.

The other scary thing that happened was that my GPS had me going down a fairly rural highway in Florida (19) and it was after dark. I kept seeing deer coming out by the road and was scared enough to only drive about 40mph. Who wants to hit a deer while towing a mclaren??? I circled back to the larger interstate and that worked better. I also had the same issue on the way home in west Texas at night. You couldn't go more than 2 miles without seeing a freshly hit deer on the road, all the while seeing them standing on the side of the road. I decided it was a good time to pull over and sleep till the sun came up.
The other neat thing I learned is that its hard to understand what people are saying in Louisiana.
Hank's other white '86 Coupe
Does Hank not have the other '86 white coupe you had looked at listed o his website? I can't find it there.....
