Aloha, Hello and all that Jazz...

Post by 85CruisinVert »

Hi everybody! I figured I should probably post an intro rather than lurking around.

While I don't have an ascMcLaren yet... I am really interested in getting one at some point. Currently my husband and I own a 1980 Capri that we're working on building up. I used to have a 4 cyl 86 Mustang LX notch, but it had to go, didn't have enough money to do the build I wanted.

At any rate, earlier in the week a listing for an 86 vert came up and unfortunately it was too far away, but it perked my interest and now I'm on a mission! Unfortunately I always seem to pick the impossible. lol I'm out here on Cape Cod(MA) searching for a silver (w/ black int) 86 ascMcLaren Capri vert. I know it will probably be some time before, if ever, one pops up again... Since word on the street is there were only 12 made?... Well if you're gonna dream, dream BIG!

Thanks everyone!! I'm sure I'll have a good time here on the boards. I've already learned a bit considering I used to know next to nothing about these cars. Not saying that I know a whole lot though. lol From the sound of it some things are a bit of a mystery because they were hand-made as it were...
