I wouldn't go with Haggerty if they held a gun to my head!

A few years back I signed with them. Told them I couldn't remember if my ticket was in Feb or March, so please run my license to be certain. They okyed everything and collected premiums for two years,

Then I had a slight bump and called to make a claim. They advised me I had LIED on my application and refunded my premiums (which, smart asses, were more than the claim!)

What if it had bee a total loss? Who needs this kind of sandbagging??

Now, when I see their booth at any show, I drag my chair over and tell anyone who will listen about my experience and show them the letter from the State saying Haggerty is under investigation for my complaint.

Call Grundy--or anyone else!

Sandy wrote:86capriasc, that's a nice looking example. Of course, being Sandy-Stocker, the window air foils, U.S.P.O. hood letter slot would go on retirement, and the wheels might stay, as I really admire how they look, if only to "save" the OEMs. But really she looks terrific and shows alot of care and pride.
I don't know Sandy, after replacing the windshield frame weather stripping, and seeing how M-i-c... See the water pour in... k-e-y Why, because it's designed to... M-o-u-s-e way the top is supposed to seal to the frame, and combined with the lovely way asc hacked a HUGE hole in the trunk lid to mount the third brake light, I think I might need to make a few modifications!

 Mine, therefore, must be loaded witjh Snot

I am recoupering from surgery #5. THIS (surprisingly) is the ONLY one that hurts. 'Ya, I have constant pain. Will be at Dr. Grumpy (he is always Grumpy) today, for my follow up to my hernia surgery that was 5/1/'09 and it still hurtzz. Laying in bed (and around the house) I promissed myself, if & when I ever feel good again, (some days I have my doubts...) I am taking the Azura Blue 90 and the 86 Coupe, and my Caddy all out for a good run !

Yesterday, I took out my D.D. (daily driver) my 2003 Town Car (11,000 miles - in 6 years) for a GOOD RIDE and wound up at K-Mart, buying some R/C Cola and some pretzel rods. "Towniee" had a good ride and performs as new.

The day before the surgery I took wife and we lowered the top on the 90 Silver Anniversary and drove the 5 miles to the annual Cherry Blossom Parade, thru the biggest park in New Jersey ! So, it was 5 miles to & from the park and 3 miles thru the park, so Hi-Ho Scarlet went 13 miles. Then we got home & I very carefully & correctly & slowly put the top up. SOoo, Those 2 have been let loose out of captivity and I yet have the Coupe and the Azura Blue and the Caddy to do.
Those 3 do not live at home and they have their own apartment, so I see less of them. I am forced to miss my annual show in Millburn, N.J. (The BEST annual in northern N.J. car show. I am just not up to it, no energy/
IF IF IF I made it, I was gonna take the Coupe. The Coupe stops 'em dead in thier tracks, while the 'Verts do not have the "Whacked-over-the-head" affect.
When I take the Caddy to the annual Caddy Show in Northern NJ, it has the same effects THERE, as the coupe does, everywhere.
The Coupe presently has 703 miles, in 23 years, the Azura Blue has 2,365 miles in 19 years, and the Caddy has 11,100 miles in 16 years.
All are with Grundy. I am really praying that I can make the Caddy Show.

I also find that the coupes attract a younger set, say 16 to 26 while the 'Verts attract an "older" set - say like 30 - 50.

One time, I had a guy of about 53 years stop, and just stare at my blue vert for like 10 minutes. He did NOT speak. After 10 minutes he says...

"They laid the windshield back a bit, and replaced the back seat with a Mercedes-like set-up, and put on a faux Mercedes-type top. I don't believe that they shortened the wheelbase, though."

(Definately an accountant!)

He forgot to mention that the guy who supervised the work was named Frank! Funny story!

Funny, I was 19 when I bought my '85 Coupe new. Paid $13,300 on the Ford "A-Plan" (employee discount).

That's about $27,000 is 2009 dollars.

Oh My Gosh! I am glad you posted the pic! It's 8:30AM and I have to put out my telephone bill for the postman to take !!

Don't be angry, i am just teasing 'ya. You car is beautiful and mirrors the great care you have given it. BTW where are your OEM wheels? If you are storing them, lay them flat on their inner rim and cover the orange facing side with newspaper.

Well as far as the stock wheels go, I sold them to
Ecric5oh. I was is need of cash seeing I hadn't worked for 5 months and was running real low. Wish I had kept them now. But it sounds like he is tired of his projects so hopefully he will sell them back too me.

The more I look at the new scoop(bulge) I'm not really liking it too much, it will be coming back off and the hood will be returned back to factory. I will at least pick up another hood for it.

Tomorrow I will be off to get some SEM bumper repair to fix the side and rear skirts. Then paint.

I will probably just paint the lower stripes on for now until I repaint the whole car. I have the matching orange paint still from doing the wheels.
