I traded it in to Apple Valley Ford in '95. It had Koni shocks and struts. A Ford Motorsport sticker on the driver's side quarter window. It had a 3.27 8.8 rearend and I had 225/60 tires on it cause I hated the way 50's looked. Otherwise it was pretty much stock McLaren.

yup thats the one. it had a hard life after you. 8 years of rain snow and sun cought up to the car. but can you explain the rivets in the pass quarter? i know it was replaced. but damn... by the time i got it the floors were really bad and the frame rails were pretty bad. had no choice but to part it.
Well at least I know what happened to it.
Here's the story: I bought it Apr 1988 when I was 20 and not quite savvy to body repairs. When I bought it from Inver Grove Ford it looked great, maybe too great, but nonetheless I didn't pay too much attention to the paint work. After driving it for a month or so the front tires started wearing funny so I took it an alignment shop and they said something was out of whack with the front end. I go back to the Ford dealer and they said car was mint when I bought it, what did I do to it? So that went nowhere.
After another few months I started noticing other stuff that seemed out of shape for a 24000 mile car. Long story short I discovered pass rear quarter had been replaced and found damage to the tailpipe on that side. So after a year or so the rearend goes out and I discover it was a junkyard rear in it and install a new 8.8. A little later I do the Koni's and the alignment shop says 'Hey, your front crossmember is out of whack', he does his best but basically the the car is tweaked. Which explains why I never could get the hood to close right. So at that point the alignment is close and I just drive it and don't really worry about where I park cause it'll need to be fixed someday anyway. It was never driven in the winter when I owned it and was garaged most of the time.
I tried tracking down the first owner but he was a big shot at a leasing company and I couldn't get anywhere close enough to him to ask anything and nobody would give him a message from me. It was just a car to him.
I had a great time with it and took it to Road America 4 times to open track it with the Northwoods Shelby Club, I autocrossed it a ton and it had 48000 miles on it when I traded it in for a '95 SVT Cobra. The idiots at Apple Valley Ford threw away the spare parts I left in it including full stripe kit, the owners manuals, the Koni adjuster knob, and the head & tail light covers. I saw it once near my work and chased the guy down with my semi and talked to him for awhile. He had already cut off the tailpipes and said the shocks were shot but didn't know they were Koni's and were on full soft so I showed him the adjuster on top. He was a young kid and I figured that's the end of my car. I saw it one more time down by Elko sitting along the freeway at a house where it looks like they fix up cars. That was it.
Here it is in happier days:

What a story !!
Yes, if a car is used as a daily driver, #$%& is gonna happen & they are going to go (sometimes slowly) down the tubes. Luckily I only regret selling one of my many cars over the 45 years i've been driving, and allthough it now has Classic collectability status - I am sure it's out back some shanty-town house, up on milk cans - being milked. It was a luxury car, so I am pretty sure it was not raced, but just used up, and cast aside. So...now I don't sell any nor trade 'em in which is why I also cannot buy anything new, anymore. Storing cars is not like collecting postage stamps !

Yeah, even though I called you Sandy within probably the first month of buying the car it was obviously too late. Had I tried to find info on the car first I would have known something was up with it. i.e. the missing tail stripe and missing trim on the rear ground effects.
