2011 Mustang w/ 412 HP

Post by ChuckG »

Can you believe 412 HP?? I remember being thrilled when the old 5.0 hit 200HP. Too bad they're fat pigs at 3500lbs, but still!

Sad part is, there are just too many tuners out there to make any sense of stuff. Roush does nice work and Shelby charges for nice work...

Anyone considering these new 5.0s?

Over 400HP and 25MPG!

I'd take a V-6 at 310HP and 30-MPG. Way to go FORD.

So, if you sell the '86....

I looked at it up here in MI at the Shelby show. Nice car. If it had been an '85, I'd have grabbed it.

PS. Have a couple photos of it there, if you want them.

Sure, I'll take the pics if you want to email them over. I was the opposite, passed up several 85s over the years to finally get an 86.

PM over your email address.

I'm partial to the '85 since it was my first new car. Only reason I replaced it with the '86 was it was stolen.

I drove a 2010 a few weeks ago, and was impressed enough to almost pull the trigger. The improvements to be found in the 2011 will no doubt be all the more tantalizing. I wonder about the colors that will be offered, though.

Now it's being said that they're holding even bigger goodies back for 2012.

I hope it's some weight reduction. Chevy has kept the Corvette at about 3100lbs for decades, where as the Mustang has grown 3/4+ of a ton.
