This is how mine is. The motor does move the tonneau up then right back down. The switch must be shorted to ground. The cable to the motor in the trunk was unplugged.dahberg wrote:On my 1985 convertible the compartment behind the driver side is the trunk deck lid cable release, the passenger side compartment release is for the tonneau. The passenger side wasn't caught under the latch as stated, so that is ok now.
The rear hook doesn't lock in, I think there is an adjustment screw of some sort that the head is broke off, so its not moving far enough to catch it.
Will look at that later so I can get it to seal down.
Its pretty scary underneath, but I'm not giving up. I am going to make this car survive some how some way.
