For the record, I stumbled upon this site completely by accident while looking for additional ASC/McLaren information. Search engines can be a beautiful thing. Done lurking and finally decided to make it all official and sign up today.
This is actually my second Fox-body Mustang. The first being an '85 carbureted (final year) hatchback GT model, also with a 5-speed. Hardtop. White 'n Charcoal. Ahhhhh, what a great car that was. Loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, it was totaled somewhere around 1992 by a distracted, cerebrally-challenged driver in a Dodge minivan who decided it was far more important to save time and immediately turn left into my lane of travel than wait the extra 2 seconds for me to pass. Boy, was I pleased with the mangled result. She refused to step out of her van until the police arrived. In hindsight that was a very smart move on many levels... 'nuff said. I definitely wasn't in the mood to talk about the weather.
On another note, right off the bat I'd like to give thanks in advance to Sandy Block for his obvious dedication and massive investment of time and effort into maintaining this site and its ever-growing content and subscriber base. Due to the small build quantities and relative obscurity of these cars (it's a *WHAT*?), even with the internut (pun intended) at ones fingertip disposal, finding reliable, quality information regarding certain rarer, older automobiles isn't always so easy. The local Ford dealer acts like the car doesn't exist. Of course having a disinterested parts jockey who was basically in diapers when the car was built surely doesn't help much.
In any event, once the spring thaw kicks in and one can find time to figure out what exactly it is I hath wrought here... there will definitely be more to follow...
