If I remember correctly the Caliente had a 260 cu. in. V-8.
I had a 1966 Fairlane 500 XL, purchsed new, that I sold after 8 years an 200,000 trouble free miles with a 289 V-8, auto. no air. Loved that car. It was the first new car I ever owned. Matter of fact, every new car I've owned has been a Ford!! Never any problems with them either.
