There was one guy who cut the Mustang wheel flares off and welded them to the outside of Capri flares...flares on top of flares...
You'd have to see them to know if they looked goofy or not. I don't have the thread though.

Mike,
I have a very talented body man. It wouldn't be a flair on top of flair, the Mustang flair would be removed and the Capri flair stretched before welded to the fender.
I also have a set of carbon fiber fenders, but they are designed for an increased track. Which wouldn't be a problem except the Cobra spats no longer fit.

The windshield wipers & the fresh oil leak on the pavement, got me looking agqin & I found another!
NONE of the 4 wheel lips have the flared lip of a doner Mustang.
Take a look at any 87-93 Mustang, and you will see all 4 have a turned out wheel lip - most visable on the top third of the wheel opening (as in from 10 to 2 on a clock). The dear one here has shaved lips.
Take a look. I'll bet when ya blow the horn it barks rather than honks.

Soooo... in review this particular car has: no fog lamps, Capri fenders, GT taillamps, "custom" upholstery, incorrect tonneau cover, antenna mounted in the wrong location, no windshield wipers, incorrect headrests, GT ground effects, leaks like the Exxon Valdez, mirrors in the wrong location for the model year, a 'Fast n Furious' rear decklid spoiler, fresh Earl Sheib paint (speculative), non-original roof material, been backed into a ditch going 50+ (also speculative... could've been 65+), an engine we're not allowed to see, a decklid with a keyhole that doesn't belong there, and possibly incorrect ride height... otherwise, it's in flawless mint condition and only driven by Grandma to church on Sundays?
According to Sandy, said purchase will also include one large Saint Bernard currently locked in the trunk at no additional charge. Hopefully they drilled a few air holes for him... or he'll have to rely on the porous nature of Bondo to survive. On the plus side the wheels and tachometer needle are presumably original. Where do I sign?

Personally, I think you are all wrong. I thing that it is a Capri based asc/McLaren that has had a Mustang fascia, tail, and dash grafted to it. It has Capri flares, early asc seats, early asc top, and an early asc tonneau. The Mustang donated its fascia and tail, but most importantly, it donated its dash and VIN number.
