Okay, not for the squeemish...
Pre Liver surgery, I was to have 7 pre-tests. Well. the 1st 4 went fast & good, and were not any stressful. # 5 made me ill for like 4 days. # 6 test lander me in the hospital from internal bleeding. I was in there for like 7 hours.
#7 is on hold, because of #6. MEANTIME...I developed an infection, in my bladder. SO....that had to be cleaned up, so I am now on strong drugs and I have to drink a gollon of water, a day. SOooo, it's all on hold.
I am getting very scared of the Dr(s). I see that they are not fool-proof.
The make many mistakes. If my Dr. makes a mistake...on me... I WILL die.
This would not be good!!!

You are one strong person!!
Never give up. We depend on you!
When my wife almost died 15 months ago it scared the hell out of me. I thought it was routine until the Dr. cleared the waiting room and talked to me alone. At that minute, my whole life passed before my eyes. I thought he was going to tell me the operation was a success but the patient died!

" my whole life passed before my eyes"
I know THAT feeling, all too well. I experienced just once. A "once" that is engraved into one's sync forever and a day ! It was 4 years ago - June, of 2007, when I heard those forever changing three little words:
"You have Cancer" ~ The mental shock is permantly engraved forever.
Then you arrive at the cancer center, and cannot believe your eyes, for the waiting "room" (more like banquet hall; in size) is packed with others. all there because they too, heard those 3 little words.
It's very very tough, may those reading this, that are "clean"
give thanks, and go and get a colonoscopy every 3 years, w/out fail,
once you are age 35. Quit smoking and cut liquer down to very little.
Yes, I am fighting HARD, for my son and my wife.
IF I die, they will suffer. I don't want that. I will not suffer.
Dead people do not suffer.
I am now off to my uralagist because I got an infection in my bladder
from too strong chemo infusion, and I was peeing blood.
It's now cleared up, and he wants to give me the results of the lab-work.
Today I am parking Karen's Jeep. I am tired of the rIdE, although I like the vehicle. It's 10 years "old" and inshowroom condition! 2001 Cherokee Limited 4X4 - - The original... the little one. Silver, Charcoal Learther Interior- I like that it's a special edition and that it has every availavle option that was available.
It has 67,880 miles, never hit, and 100% flawless throuout. But, one feels every bump in the road. Like riding a horse!
Cherokees live for ever, with care. The current Jeeps - except for the Liberty & Grand Cherokee & Wrangler are crap. Patriot, Compass scream "cheap" !

Hey, in 1 more year, you can ge insurance again!75coug wrote:As a nine-year cancer survivor, I wish you good luck.
I had a friend who had kidney cancer, totally out of the blue. They removed a kidney and he was fine. Never had any hint of cancer after that.
Insurance companies put him on a blacklist for at least a decade. They told him he could be considered if he was 10 years cancer free.

I won't pretend to fathom the workings of underwriting, but I was able to purchase new/additional term life insurance after only seven years. I was surprised, but happy.negusm wrote:Hey, in 1 more year, you can ge insurance again!75coug wrote:As a nine-year cancer survivor, I wish you good luck.

Yeah, he was unable to do independent contracting during that whole time. He could have made far more money but couldn't risk it.75coug wrote:Ah, health insurance. I have been with my same firm the whole time, so it was never a problem, fortunately.
