Special edition coupe with the only ASC installed power sunroof.
Was built as a prototype by American Sunroof Corporation and featured in the 1986 Detroit Auto Show.

I have been told by sunroof guys it is a model 900 ASC. It has the privacy slide, it vents, and works great! It even has the wind blocker so it is super quite when driving down the road with it open.

Here's the deal rest in peace truck driver previous owner I am previous owner of# 077 black silver I met him , he told me he had one of one I knew of mine at home10 times nicer he told me he would take 15 grand and it ran 10 sec in quarter. Mile. Bull tulips. , he had no idea what he had, ok I'm an asc freak even though I sold mine. This car was all there when I last saw car august 08 hagerty rd. @ I-94 belleville Michigan , I love the car in my opinion it's a $5000.00. Car on the big end look at my album for a $10,000 dollar car.... Any comments??????

It has 93,000 miles on it, was stored winters, and was extremely well cared for. Starts great,a blast to drive, no rust, solid clutch, freezing A/C. 

I'm glad to see the car, but I think it's in much worse condition than suggested by the listing agent. It looks like it's been driven every 1 of 93k miles in all seasons to me. There is a big difference between a 10k mclaren and a 5k car - these cars don't sell for 10k with rust, 93k miles and in this condition. I think it was repainted a few years ago but otherwise needs a lot of work. I'd probably go about 4500 max (even as much as I'd like to see these sell for 10k in this condition).

Very, Very beautiful !! Flawless. Wrong Stereo, otherwise....spot-on correct. It could seriously give mine some serious competition!

Mine is the Smoke Grey with the Sunburst Orange decals, stripes...wheels.
She is an Automatic, with the factory optional axle ratio, Am Fm Stereo w/Cassette and the Full package asc/McLarern items. (As is yours).
Solid roof, Air, Pwr. Door Locks (Windows were standard).

She has six hundred & eighty miles. I bought it new.

Sandy your 86 is the one folks will photograph to restore there's to 100% correct new! The only thing this car and yours has in common is they both started life as 86 Capris! This Black 86 is nowhere close to flawless in my opinion!
Your 86 Sandy is almost as nice as my 85 GPIV

I have acually have had a couple people call & stop by to shoot pics (close-up / detailed) of BOTH the Coupe AND the 2 Verts.

One asked what I like to drink, and I told the truth, saying I love RC COLA and he brought me 2 six-pack cans and the other fellow brought a box of chotlates for my wife. Very nice people. 1 from New York and one from New Jersy, but like 75 miles away ... in New Jersey.
