Drip Rails

Post by #67 Black Mac' »

Are the window drip rails on an 85 roadster the same as any other 85 Capri or Mustang Hatch?
Thx

What is a drip rail and what window are you talking about?

Terminology blunder----SORRY!

I confused the names; drip rails (that fit around the tops of the window channels on a notch or hatch) with dew wipe strips that fit on the top of the door sills.
I guess an ASC roadster would have no need for drip rails, LOL

Me too, a little confused. I do believe that the dew-wipes are in fact the OEMs that came on the Mustang LX Coupe, before it's transfermation into the 2-seat convert. The original drip rails were on the cars when they arrived at ASC, but were removed with the removal of the roof. The cars were built using T-Top doors, so that the upper door frames were absent, as a "nod" to ascMcLaren's needs for the conversion.
