Database

Post by svo413 »

I have just finish entering all the cars I have found over the last 4 years or so. Most of them were from Ebay and a few from the local Craig's list.

I still have a few with out VIN or CUM numbers. If there was more info easily available, I might be able to add info to some of the existing cars. Of course this would be under the premis of unverified information. I have been adding the mileage to the database as it might help with future purchasers to verify the actual miles.

I suspect there are a lot of cars listed in the Tech and For Sale forums on this web board which are not in the database. Someone should go through them. Interesting that the least popular year, 84 has the most cars in the database.

Where can we view the list to see if our cars are registered?

Log in. Then click on the forum index at the top of this window. Then on the screen you will see the list with archives and just below that is the database. Kind of hidden.

Yup. Mine's in there. Even has some info I didn't know. I didn't buy the car thru the Ebay listing, but I did, in a way. I saw it on Family Estate Sales website and then saw it was on Ebay. The bidding ended that night and I didn't bid. Showed the wife the car and she told me I should have bid, she liked it. So I called the sales place, that I had previousy bought an '80 Corvette from, and told him that if the high bidder couldn't come up with the money I'd matcj the bid. $9479.00. Two weeks later he acalled and said, "Come get your car." We both bank at the same bank so I transferred the funds and went to SE Florida and drove it home. I don't think it was ever rained on till that day! It's still garaged and has 23,560 miles on it now. Has taken a number of trophies and plaques, but then so has the Corvette. I still have both. Unfortunately Family Estate Sales closed upon the owners retirement.
