Now if only a white '82 in that kind of condition would show up, well we just wouldn't know what to do with ourselves.

I know that the white ones were rarer; but I must admit, that I like the black ones, better. The gold striping shows up better, and while the black ones match the black leather, the white ones are a little bit "off" on matching the sherling. All things being = .... I'll take a black one. THIS ONE.....don't ya hear it crying >>> "I waa Waa Waana go to Sandy's house and retire like all the other "toy cars" and get hand washed and hand waxed and and and live in heated dehumidfied garages and never ever have to "work" again, and go on roads and get sneeered at by Bummers and Bends and Slobs and Porchs, pee'd upon by "Goats" and Impalas and other farm "mamals" :D

Good Eyes!! All the way thru, he's claiming a 3-speed automatic. Gosh he should drive it more often! It's a stick. I don't want it any longer....

I would know exactly what to do if a white one showed up: Buy it. I like the white ones better because, among other things, the gold stripes on the taillights look so cool.

You guys have heard me mention for a long time that a friend of mine from high school has a white Black Magic that he bought new. Well, he finally dragged his car out of his barn and snail-mailed me some good photos of it. As soon as I get some time (this week's 15+ hour workdays are killing my time on the computer) to scan the photos, I will post them.

1982 Black Magic on Ebay

Actually there was a white one for sale on craiglist just a few weeks ago, and I did try to buy it but was a few minutes too slow. $1500 and it was a one owner car, but needed minor work. Fortunately, it was purchased by a fellow member at FEP. He found almost complete documentation in the vehicle, including the build sheet.

I believe I have some history on this car. It was originally sold through the Ford Quality car program and bought by a tech at Don Seeyle Ford in Kalamazoo. He made some modifications to the car and kept it for several years, last I knew he still had the car. So he may be the seller.

Leg is AAA-OK. Foot is AAA-OK. Left foot's bottom, has no "feeling".

He may have put a manual shifter boot in place of the PRND1 bezel. I had a buddy who did that to his 67 cougar. It shouldn't be to hard to do in a capri. Don't know why you would do it though

I checked the 1982 product info book. In 1982 automatic was NOT available together with a V-8 (same in 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983.
1984 was the 1st year, followed by 1985 & 1986.
