Because for a few years, in the 1980s, I was a concours judge at several car shows, I had to know and be able to identify correct parts (including wheels) on show cars. Therefore, when I see what is, or could be in the near future, a highly collectible car, or a Milepost car, or an agreed upon "Classic Car" , wearing incorrect parts (i.e. wheels) it's like a fire alarm going off in my brain. IF I hated the wheels on any of my cars, I would still keep them on, as even if I really disliked them, I would still keep them on, in the name of correctness.
I recall once seeing a concours condition early issue Olds Toronado. Car was a 99% flawless example, and in a rare, and extra cost color, but....it was wearing Buick Riviera wheel covers. I darn near barfed! Really, I felt sick (like a pain in the stomach) seeing that. It's one thing on a daily driver Impala, but on a collectible car, special interest car, Milestone car or a antique car you definately lose several points.
SOOooooo, with THAT backgound, you might be able to see where I am coming from. Well, I hope you do.

He also claimed the rear end had a 3:55 ratio which upon inspection I found out to not be true. The mech. who installed the rear discs on my car wat back when, also added a brake proportioning valve under the hood.
i did a tbird rear end in my car. rear disc brakes and after market proportioning valve. its like .75" longer on each side the the stock rear end. my 7.5" rear HAD to go. tbirds came with 3.55s or 3.73s.

Check out this web site. North Racecars Brake Solutions, just google it. I bought a few of these brake kit and axles. And installed them. The problem with the t bird or lsc rear and sn95 rear the axles are longer and with some rims and tires you need to roll the rear lip. He sells good stuff and you won't have to touch the body. Hope this helps.

I too would like rear discs - but, as we qll know, that causes nasty brake dust. It's getting hard(er) fast for me to sit on a kiddie stool and spray & scrub brake dust off...so, for the miniscule amount of driving mine get, I'll leave it stock.

Sandy, if you're like me at the speed I drive and the careful type on driving I have with my ASC the drums are more than adequate. :D For fast driving I use another car.

The rear disc brakes do make a big difference. I went five lug for wheel choice and the big cobra brakes.
