I also lost 66 pounds, down from 263 to 197. My wife said that it's much better for me to weigh 197, than 263, since I am 5' 10"". She got mad at me when I replied,. "....and it's much better for my leather seats!"
You reminded me of this story when you brought up the seats...
I get a call from my wife one afternoon, and when I answer the phone I hear her laughing quite a bit on the other end. Naturally, I ask what is so funny to which she replies "here's a question that probably doesn't come up too often, but if you've just wet your pants, is still safe to use your heated seats?"
She's a nut-job, but I wouldn't want it any other way!
Shiny Side Up!

'Ya, your wife has a great attitude & outlook too. That's pretty important (and mentally - at times - difficult. Especially IN a hospital surrounding where EVERYONE is sick with something !) I can't wait to get outta there every other Wednesday. I am there from 10AM until about 4:30PM. THAT is a loooong day. I am beat when I get home, (20 minutes away). I drive there, but wife has to drive home, as i am diZZy when we leave.

You really like cream soda? I never could warm up to that, nor to orange or grape soda. The #1 BEST soda (you probably cannot get,) it's made in Jersey. I don't know how far they ship product to.
Boylan's Cola. It's unique and unlike R/C, Coke or Pepsi, Boylans has no artificial color nor flavor and no high fructose corn syrup (bad 4-U) as it's made with pure cane sugar, natural flavors. It's also Kosher + Parve.
It's truly amazing cola. Only come in glass bottles with twist off cap. They say that aluminum cans spoil the flavor and plastic bottles are not for premium cola.
looks like they sell that stuff in NY and NJ... the website shows costco and trader joes as a "National Retailer". i will have to stop in at trader joes and take a look

Where can you get Kosher Coke? I've always heard that its the bottles with the yellow tops? Is that right? Also supposedly it comes out neard 5th of May (cinco de mayo)??
I'll have to stop by Trader Joes here...its on my way to work. I will look for both Kosher Coke and Boylan's.
FWIW, the funniest thing I have seen here in Charlotte, NC is one of the extremely uppity upscale super trendy shops (like one that sells Evian Water, mid-high end wines and the like), selling STEWARTS SODA! At quite a PREMIUM!
For anyone who doesn't know...to an upstate New Yorker, Stewarts Soda was the stuff your mom got for your birthday party when she couldn't afford good stuff like brand name Coke or Pepsi!
I also saw IBC Root Beer in there which we used to buy by the case at Sam's Club for super cheap! I like IBC but I ain't paying $1 per bottle when I used to buy it for a fraction of that!

'Ya, I totally agree on the Black Cherry Soda. In moderation, however.
Kosher/Parve' Coke is on the shelves the last week of March to the 2nd week of April. Blink & you miss it. Hard to obtain. Easiest place to get is in the larger cities or in highly Jewish populated areas. Regular pricing.
R/C + Pepsi do not do it. Boylans Vintage Soda pop is Kosher/Parve' one hundred percent of the time.
Natural coloring, flavoring NO high fructose corn syrup, and always 100% Kosher/Parve' ~ and ONLY in thick tinted glass bottles with twist off caps.
Sandy Krazy for it

I had to do a double take on this because I remember once my wbc was slightly elevated at an 11 or 12. It appears you can express the WBC two ways. Its a matter of either saying 3,000 cubic millimeters or simply 3 cubic meters.
"White blood cell count (WBC). The number of white blood cells in a volume of blood. Normal range varies slightly between laboratories but is generally between 4,300 and 10,800 cells per cubic millimeter (cmm). This can also be referred to as the leukocyte count and can be expressed in international units as 4.3 - 10.8 x 109 cells per liter."
Cancer was discovered last November. At 225 you are dead. I entered the hospital with internal bleeding. My Colon Cancer at 191 and climbing. After 150 hours of Chemo I dropped to 90. After the next 3 sessions ( another 150 hours and very very very very sick from it, I dropped to 60 !! After another 150 hours and even sicker, I dropped to 40 ! After the next 150 hours. I dropped to my present # of 17 ! No human can go below 5. Five is THE lowest ! I have 12 to go, and still have 98 hours to go.
My Dr is the head of the Cancer Unit in one of the largest hospital Cancer Centers in Northern N.J. He says I have (almost) set records for recovery.
He believes that I will be in total remission by August 1st.
I have been dealing with this since LAST OCTOBER (2007). I also had a 3 hour & 7 minute surgery, that I recovered 100% from. (That was November 19th, past).
I quit smoking cigars Last August. Soon as I quit, I got sick.
In case ya didn't notice, I am off the site every other Wednesday all day long. Hospital Day.
Chemo is REALLY >>> NO >> REALLY rough !!
It reaches out & touchs (almost) every facet of your body, & play havic with it.
But, i have kept a really good outlook, and don't talk about it very much, until tonite and THAT only because I am doing so good.
Also, I have (oddly for me) kept an excellent attitude & outlook on stuff.
Also, because I trust my Dr.(s). I have 3.
I got Rabbis coming in & Priests to see me, when I am there, as well as some sweeeeet nurses. (and one nasty 'itch, too).
My wonderful wife goes with me, and bring me snacks to munch on from the cafeteria and I have a beautiful room - mahogany paneled with a nice view of the helipad and I watch the hellicopters come & go. They land & take off straight up & down. I have a stereo set-up in the room with DVDs and CDs & cassettes and my own pot of coffee than I can make at any time, and a small fridge. Prertty darn good. I also have computer access and have posted here - from there.
So, life, pizza, wife & son, McLarens and Corn Beef & Pastrami on rye with 'turd and 'slaw with an R/C Cola keep me going, as well as my Rabbi Mosche Schottenstein and my Priest Father Douglas Boyle.
Cheers.
I ain't going....yet.
OH....P/S My Rabbi owns a Saleen Convertible (2005) Triple black, 5-Speed with a PROformsnce (?) Supercharger on it. (But... to synagogue, he drives an Impala - I think he said a 2000.
He challenged me to a race in the McLaren Coupe "When I am up to it" .
Sandy 150 hrs or 15 hrs for 3 sessions? By your numbers it sure sounds like they caught it at the right time thank God! Maybe if anything this experience has brought you closer with your family and to God. I think that is so cool your Rabbi has a newer Saleen vert, WOW! I hope you don't take him up on his offer to race the coupe. Your car belongs in a Museum.
Beverages:
-Water Joe- caffeinated water
-Life 02 Water- it has up to 10 times the amount of oxygen then regular water.
-BAWLS Guarana- its an energy drink what were you thinking lol. Oh and get this, it comes in a blue bottle. I imagine they probably have different drinks in different color bottles so be sure to ask for your very own blue Bawls when you need a little extra lift. Lol I made a funny, hehe.
mmmm i love Bawls! ok that come out wrong... i have only seen it in the blue bottle or a blue can. its like a ginger ale energy drink. they sell it at some gas stations around town and almost all 7/11s
im also a big fan of jones soda... im not a big fan of coke or pepsi i like the other flavors like ginger ale and cream soda.
Nick, each session is fifty hours.... x 3 = 150 hours. After every 3rd session, I get tested. Of the fifty hours, 7 are in the hospital, (every other Wednesday); and the remaining 43 are at home.
Rabbi Schottenstein was really just joking about the race. The Saleen is his toy, and spends most of it's days in the garage. With gas prices and parking for hours & hours when he visits the hospitalS (many) he would not risk it in the lots. He uses the 2000 6-Cyl. conservative dark grey Impala Sedan with blackwalls.
Father Boyle has a Nissan Altima (unknown year) - Burgundy.
