I also saw this auction, but in France we don't know anything about this model.
Is it an interesting model ? And what is the average price for a model like that one in America ?
This one looks cheap but I don't know.
I think it would nice to have it in my garage... :wink:
This car is very interesting and considering the rarity, worth buying.

Average price would be tough to say since these come up so rarely. The last one to be sold would probably be the white one and I think the owner has posted here, maybe he could say what a fair price would be.

RARE-ASC wrote:Sandy the ad states VIN 0F03A308226 does that seem correct!
0 = 1980 Model Year
F = Dearborn, MI Assembly Plant
03 = Three-door Hatchback
A = 2.3L/I4 Engine, 1V, 88 HP (manual) or 90 HP (automatic)
308226 = Consecutive Unit Number

Was the Turbo Engine swapped into non turbo 4 cars? Did their vins all denote a simple I4?

I have the #9 white m81, his vin number is 3 lower than mine. I did a history 999 on mine and it started as a regular 4cy car not a turbo car. My m81 was orange to begin with. All of the metal parts are orange under the white but no orange under the white on the fibberglass parts. I am assuming that they were all ordered orange. The black and white ones were color changed when the fiberglass was installed. Hope this sheds some light on the car. I dont see any reason it is not a legit M81. later Kendal

OTHER AUCTION WAS ENDED EARLEY I THINK THIS IS WAS THAT MEANS :?: Le vendeur a mis fin à cette vente plus tôt que prévu car l'annonce était erronée. "SELLER ENDED AUCTION BECAUSE THERE WAS AN ERROR IN LISTING" THAT IS ALL THE FRENCH I KNOW :taunt:
