The currency is Swiss Francs, not French Francs, so the exchange rate is another than stated in that other post... I will look for it another day, but 65'800.- swissies for the ascMcLaren seems extremly expensive to me:

in 1986 these were some car retail prices in swiss francs:

- Mercedes-Benz 420 SL 78'870 (the V8 version of that legendary 2-seater convertible that triggered the ascMcLaren as the legend says...)

It's very nice for me (being swiss) that this swiss document has been found in France in a french ascMcLaren... looks like this car has somehow a relationship to Switzerland, maybe it has been exported from the US to Switzerland and then further on to France...
