Hard top Photoshop
I stole a hardtop from a picture of a late 90's Mercedes SL and worked it onto a Photoshoped pic of my McLaren.
Just for fun.

I was thinking of what it would take to make something like that work.
You'd have to get or make a new tonneu cover to be the base for the hard top or put hooks or latches on the existing one to attach the hard top. Then you'd have to get new latches for the front to clamp it down to the winsdhield frame like the soft top.
I don't think an actual Mercedes piece would fit on there without major mods to the top.
I had to cut the windows out of the Mercedes pic by themselves and then paste them on the Mc pic then sorta "build" the rest of the top around it.
To make the real thing work and look right, you'd have to take the windows out of the top and then pretty much add and remove material where nessecary to make the top look like it's supposed to fit the car just like the Photoshop job.
Here's the original pic

If anyone wants to get creative, here is a link to e bay for MB hardtops.
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dl ... category0=
Looks like you could get a MB part for around $400+.
You'd probably put another $1,000 into fabrication and paint.

We actually set the hardtop on the car and phtoshopped it. Its for our 2000 Mustang Mach1 Convertible, it fits 99-04 Mustang Convertible's with a 05-07 Mustang look. The window line actually lined up.
