tonneau applique replacement

OK time to replace the tonneau appliqué and #5 bow seal. what type of adhesive should i used to affix applique' to the cover and do you guys have any bewares or oops' to steer clear of. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sandy, i am not seeing any instructions for a tonneau applique' install from ascmclaren.com. its not butyl tape, is it just a hardening type of adhesive? what do you know about this. and i should be able to just pull the old one of gently i am assuming.... any info would be appreciated.
