Today is / was my Birthday, # 62... It was nice to actually make it to 62.
14 months ago, it was doubtful. Now, I am fighting Hard ! 7th inning.
I am eating my birthday cake as I type this...

To all of you, I wish you all a healthy and a happy holiday season, encompassing a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah and a
wonderful New Year, to all.

I am very thankful to my fabulous wife, Karen, who has taken care of me, when I could not, and our 24 y.o. son, Matthew, who is now a certified CPA in the state of New York. It's been a long and tough year and many many days in pain,and so so so sad, I could not even describe it, but today, I feel as good as I did 14 months ago, when this mess began.
My very best thoughts & wishes to each & every one of you and thanks to those of you who wrote me off board and expressed prayers to/for me.
Last but certainly not forgotten, to Mike Negus, for his devotation to this great site! Shalom, Brother !!

I will be off-board for a lion's share of tomorrow as I will be having a Cat-Scan at the hospital. They take seemingly forever, but 95% of the time, you are waiting. I arrive at 8:30AM - I sign in and wait. (usually 30 minutes for what or why, I don't know. Finally they bring me 2 bottles (10 Oz.) to drink. Banana flavor stuff. It looks like liquid chalk, and is sorta kind thick in texture. Tastes like a pureed liquid banana. I get 1 hour to choak it down the throat .... Then I have to wait my turn. BUT a minimum of 90 minutes, so the liquid can make one visable to the scan, and light up your insides. Then finally I go into another room for the scan. The scan last all of 6 minutes !!! But, all the B.S. first can take up to 4 hours of waiting.
After the scan, you get dressed and leave.

On Wednesday, I meet with my Dr. and he tells me the results.
My 1st time was in Feb. of 2008. It was not good.
My second time was in May 2008, and it was improved.
My 3rd was in August 2008 and the ImAgEs did not come out well enough for my Dr. to really be able to tell anything.
My 4th is tomorrow and truth be told, I am scared to death of the findings.

Of course, my wife goes with me and our son is with his girlfriend baking his tush on the beach at Montego Bay, in Jamaica - - his winter vacation.
Does he call me ????? Do pigs fly ?

Happy birthday a day light.

Enjoy guzzling the liquid chalk. They key is to slam it as fast as you can. Nursing it just makes it worse.

HOME ! Did it all....Thursday AM I get the news of how things are going.
Cat Scans are no big deal - just VERY time consuming!

(( It's the Dog Scans ya gotta watch for!) ))

Happy belated, Sandy.

Hope all turns out well with the CT. I just had a head CT 3 weeks ago to see what causing my migraines, like you said, they're no big deal. Let's hope they don't "see" anything.
