ASC Capri with T-Tops .. ???/

Hey guys. I am new here and have been keeping my eyes open looking for a new ride. About 10 years ago I had a capri with T-Tops which I had to sell because of storage issues. I have been reading up on the Mclarens and plan to buy one. However, I want one with T-Tops which I think limits me to 1986??? right??

Do any of you have leads for a McClaren Capri with T-Tops? Any in the Detroit area?

No leads, sorry. Yes, you are correct, only a 1986 will have factory T-Tops. In all these years with these cars, If my memoryis any good, I'd make an educated guess that I have come across 5 to 10 with that feature and perhaps another 20 with the pop-up manual sun roof.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I have been watching ebay and craigs list but have not seen anything worth while. Any way to find out how many T-Top cars were ever made?

I would also like to know if there is a way to search on craigs list by state and not always have to swith cities?

How could I find out how many McClaren Capri were made in 1986 with T-Tops? Any idea? It would help to know if there were only 5 made..... I'll give up now. But if there were 500 I might have shot at it.

I was following your thread. The car you found is mine. #19 of 47 Eurocoupes. I will be pulling out of Gateway in May for the show circuit. I was unaware that GCC posted her in Hemmings as well.

Seriously though, I have got someone here that's looking at mine pretty hard, damn hard to let go when it's 75 & Sunny out. Sherie & I have been swamped since we opened our business, we are only looking at doing 4-5 shows this year.
