Where is everybody?

This is a place where we discuss anything BUT ascMcLaren cars. TV, movies, vacations, family, pets, girlfriends, college, school, OTHER cars, whatever....that kinda thing. Taboo is Religion, Ethnic Background, Politics.

Don't know if Michigan has it or not, but in Florida we have Mike Kelly's Cruise News. $18.00 a year. Lots of good articles, pictures and a schedule of almost every car show, cruise in for the entire state and some ouit of state. They don't have the shows on line but they do have some of the articles.

I can send anyone a past copy if you'd like. Might make a good business for someone in the north! I'm quite sure they're making money. They also have a 'For Sale' section for classic, antique and collectible cars and other stuff.

That's a good start. I'll send them a copy of ours. They may be able to pick up some good tips from seeing the one here in Florida. The more the merrier. We have a show this Saturday, another the 2nd Sunday in May and 1 May 22nd, that we plan to go to.

I vote for Cincinnati! Nevermind the fact that most all of the GPIV cars are probably in MI.

Plumcrazy You said: And planning the jail break of My cars.

I am too. Figuring, perhaps, I will not be around in Summer 2011, I have dedcided to take everybody out to a car show and SHOW them by entering. I worry so much about getting bumped by these crazy New Jersey drivers that think they are in amusement ride bumper cars, rather in real cars on the streets. But, I am a careful driver and I am gonna risk fate and take each of the 3 Macs to 1 car show.
(This is also a blood pressure test)
There is a mega big Ford Show, Garden State Mustangs, close to my house. They get 200+ cars. If it's not 90 degrees & humid, I will be there with th Merc Capri McLaremn. The Blue Vert will go to a local in the center of as close by town and the Silver Anniversary will go to a Cruise Night in my own town.

First off DO NOT THINK THAT WAY!!!

Second Then Maybe just Maybe you and the wife should consider a LONG drive to MI. :) I know there are many people that would LOVE to MEET you and the wife. And/or See one of your cars. PLus if we Get a Reunion going it would really be something if you made it. Plus have you ever seen a Capri Grand Prix in person :?:

I'd like to bring my McLaren to Michigan for either the Cherry Festival July 4th or the Woodward Dream Cruise.

But I have to get a different vehicle to trailer my car. I have the trailer. But my f150 is NOT a comfortable road car for me. I'm looking at Expeditions, Navigators and Suburbans.

My F150 is rated at 2400 lbs. towing capacity. My trailer weighs 1500 lbs. and I've hauled a 5,000 lb. Bobcat on it with the F150! But it doesn't have cruise or power seats.

I was just down, yesterday. Sometimes when one goes to the hospital, as I was yesterday for my disconnect, you notice a friend that you have come to know & see, because he/she is on the same schedule that you are.....is not there. So... I asked. He died last week. He was 51. I am 63. He looked verry well last week. It shocks everyone. I was in shock.

Yes, I have seen several Grand Prix IV 1986 ascMcLarens. Remember, we had one of the biggest L-M dealers around (where I bought my '86 Coupe). It's Called WAYNE LINCOLN-MERCURY-SUZUKI in Wayne, N.J.
They run with a stock of like 200++ new car inventory. They are clean out of Town Cars. (2010) I think they lasst one rolled this week.
One of the best American cars ever made, has died.

I cannot travel as I need to be at the hospital every other week, for 2 days, Monday & Wednesday, both days for like 4 hours.
I just deall with it. After a while, like anything, you accept what comes ya way.
Chemo is poison, make no mistake about it. They send it all through your body. Many parts are not affected, but the ones that are ... fight back by making the person really ill. Itlasts for like 3 days & 3 nights, and then you are exhausted. I have now surpassed 2,000 - yes, two thousand - hours of this stuff, and just completed 2 years & 2 months.

My sister starts chemo and radiation in a couple days. She's 66 and lives in Idaho so we don't see each other very often. Has me worried. We lost a younger sister to leukemia during WW2. She was only 4.

Wish I could be there for her. Her daughter is an attorney and her son-in-law is a jusge out in Idaho.

When I go, I want to pass away quietly in my sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in my Dad's Buick when it went over that cliff!! LOL

You are funny!
Now, be serious. Go see your Sister.
Radiation is worse than Chemo. It's very upsetting to women. They lose all of their hair. It's deeply depressing to them. She needs you. Consider it & try hard to get there, for her.
