Post by MIKE'SVO »

81K miles on the car. No rust, very solid and complete car. Purchased from Hank at Paradise several years ago. Always stored indoors. Rarely driven. Interior is in excellent shape with all of the correct ASC parts including leather shift knob and leather steering wheel and ASC horn pad. Added a SVO dead pedal, Motorsport leather shift boot and SVO leather E-brake handle. ASC floor mats. Exterior has all of the correct ASC parts including the headlight and tail light covers. Included with the car is a complete NOS decal kit with ASC windshield banner, NOS outer 1/4 window covers and sail panel trim pieces. Complete remote radar detector and correct Alpine 7272 deck. Has Alpine CD player installed currenty. Also included is an extra set of 4 wheels with centers, rear bubble glass, hood, ASC clock, ASC 5 foot banner, and original ASC brochure. $8000. PM me for pics if interested. Please no tire kickers.

Is this the one he still has up on his site priced at $7500? It's still up, but he says it's sold.

No, I'm guessing not. I purchased the car from him several (9 or 10 - I need to look at the title) years ago.

Certainly a different car then. That one looked nice.

You know, that one may have been an '85. I remember being so happy they offered new colors in '86, but now? I like the classic color combination best.

There were combos made, that I actually saw, that I really did not care for, as much as others.

* Black with Orange decals
* Midnight Blue with Silver Decals
* Oxford White with Silver Decals

Ah, the Halloween Special...

I wasn't big on the charcoal & orange. that's why I had ASC change the stripes to silver on my '86 after delivery. Very subtle.

Any pics of your car? Sounds like a good example. Fair price too. Does it need paint?

I love all the ASC Coupes. My preferance would have been Silver with Black Stripes, but beggars can't be choosey.

To each his own. I didn't like the orange at that time because it attracted too much attention. I was 20 and doing what 20 year-olds do in fast cars.

I drove both mine A LOT and put the spurs to them too. They performed very well--especially against Trans Ams and IROCs. Vettes and GNs were a little more effort.

There were several item that got dumped, either before, after a handfull were done, or let us say after 2 handfulls were done. Those rear lexan plastic taillight covers were at one point, to be all 1 piece, covering up the license plate cove.
The 350-degree ground effects tape stripe was to cover the entire ground effect. (thusly being like 4 inches high totally covering the entire ground effect. and the depressions in the hood, rather than the vents.....

The one thing I do wish they hadn't dumped was the '84 practice of putting the radar detector head in the glove box.

Adding a 3.27 gear from the auto car to the stick Coupes woulda been nice too.... That and the 225/50/15 would've made about a 3.60 gear instead of the 3.31 we got out of the 3.08s.

I agree, only 1,000 percent, especially on the radar location
