Dad has one, about 140k miles, great vehicle, tows well, about comparable in MPG to the bigger engines. Thirsty as hell, but it will set your butt back in the seat when you stomp on it. Fun truck ,very comfortable. Been really reliable.

Thanks for the info.

I think I'm going to go test drive one with this V6 this week.

They are deceptively quick on the throttle, a rolling stomp on the accelerator will open your eyes up a bit. Be careful.

Had an '09 with the V-6. Quietest vehicle I've ever owned. But, overall, I just didn't like the truck. Went back to an Expedition. If I need to haul something I've got a trailer. Once you own an Expedition, you're spoiled.

I agree. I had an Expedition and downsized to the Explorer I have now.
I love the Explorer for my day to day business use, but REALLY miss the
Expedition when I need to haul stuff. I too am thinking about an F150 when the Explorer wears out, but I'll probably go back to the Expedition and get a trailer for my cars.
