Ouch I feel for ya. You will like the extra cubes for sure. You may want to look into some cometic head gaskets, a lot of guys are using these on cars with high cylinder pressures. Also (I'm sure you know this) Look for a stroker kit with forged crank/rods. Lately a ton of stoker cranks have been made that are really crummy.
/me assembling a 393 now will look just like stock except for the funny wide manifold and turbos hanging on the headers
Mike, I feel so bad for you. You make me such a terrific Avitar, and then this happens to your car? Man, that stinks! Mike, they say when life hands you lemons, make lenonaide! Make the BETTER! Opportunity knocks to make it better & stronger & faster! {Just keep it looking stock, right? Right!!} BTW, in cae you missed it, my kid is at T-Mobile in Bensalem. In case you are still looking, he says they are looking for computer execs. Let me know if you are interested......
Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

Sandy...don't feel bad for me...she has been together for 7+ years and doesn't own me a thing...There are alot of miles/racing on her and she's never let me down...she even got me home when she blew...
AND it will look exactly the same as now under the hood...
I appreciate the job offer but my new (well been here 1.5 years now) is going very well...
and Mike...yes the cylinders need to be bored...but they are already are...(.030 over which takes the 302 to 306) the extra cubes to get to 347 come from longer connecting rods...which you won't see
5LiterMustang wrote:mike, i have a question about that intake. Was it cut in half, ported, and welded? i've read a lot about that, but never seen one before.
Yup...cut, ported and welded...I didn't do it though a friend of mine did it...
