I have posted some pictures in the 1989 album of my friend Eddie's mclaren. I wanted to know if anyone liked the enterior or should he go back to stock? I have the royal gold car. He says that he is going to the dream cruise this year.

While I am usually in favor of keeping things stock, I may make an exception here. Eddie's interior (with the exception of the Betty Boop floor mats) looks fantastic. What are the details with regard to those awesome seats?

Despite the low mileage on my car, my seats are in relatively sad shape (I have forgotten how Sandy described them, but it was something to effect of "cheaply manufactured"), and I am just not sure what to do with them. Get rid of them altogether? Try to have them fixed? Oh, the torment.

All this time, I've wondered WHO owns the Royal Gold that I saw the pics of from this year's Woodward Dream Cruise. It's you ! I absolutely LOVE your car, and I believe that it is the sole Royal Gold left in perfect, unmolested condition. I have found no others in THAT condition. I am crazy about that car ! Useless info: Royal Gold was offered AGAIN in 1990 and NONE were ordered ! It's one of two colors from 1987 thru 1990 that was available in a particular year, of which none were ordered.

Regarding your friend's car, I love the diebossed ascMcLaren in the headrests and the seat piping & the 2-toning. The steering wheel is (for me) a bit much and I think I would not have done that. Otherwise, it's very very nice, Betty Boop mats excluded, of course !

Do YOU need touch up paint info for Royal Gold ?

I'm not a big fan of the two tone interior (too bright for me), however, it is nicely done and does match the exterior better than you usually see.

My problem with the steering wheel is this:

Up to, but excluding the steering wheel, the interior looks like it very
well could have been a factory optional interior scheme, as it's been done, before on other brands, most noteably Town Car & deVille.
The steering wheel cancels out any possibilty of that. That puts it over the top.

I do need touch-up paint for the gold car. Do you have enough for the entire car? If you have enough for a couple of spots that's fine also

IF you are 'talking' to me ~ I don't have any touch up, I was asking in case you did, I posted where it comes form, that is, the Royal Gold.
