OK, i feel better, now. Best of luck to you, you are embarking on a large undertaking herein. Regarding the top. Myself & another guy from Kansas were looking into having designed a fiberglas hardtop that mimicked the exact style of the convertible top (when "UP") including the 3 windows, having the 3 windows outlined on the hardtop with a very thin piece of chrome, almost like a string. The front of which would fit into the holes in the header panel that the regular soft top frame fit into and one large one in the rear, where that big fat "screw" (Auger) fits into. The tops would be lined with sound deadning material, and then perforated leather on the inside. (No Dome Light). The rear windows to be glass, but no defroster. They would match the body color, and have rubber weatherstriping on all sides. We quit! The cost was EXTREME!!!! To design, create, manufacture, paint, ship, store we would have had to sell 1,500 of them (that's ALMOST every McLaren ever made) at a price of $1,500 TO BREAK EVEN!!!!! Neat Idea but the sale quantity ain't there.<br>S A N D Y
