When I got my '85 ASC,it was titled and
registered as a 1985 Mercury, Conv. I made an inquiry
regarding that and was told that no ASC McLarens produced
by Ford and McLaren ever bore the title "McLaren" .
In NY, no such Manufacturer code is said to be
available. Anyone out there have theirs registered other
than as a Mercury or Ford (?) or Mustang.... And there
is NO key lock on the trunk of my Mclaren Convert
either.... Just the wire pull in the storage box ( was there
a lockable storage box option ? )and the yellow
button in the glove box.
