Regarding the rear axle ratio. I do not have the mechanical ability & related knowledge that you are luckey to possess. I was quoting from the text I have from McLaren regarding PROPOSSED mechanical alterations. The print date is 1/2/1986 from 1987 program. I do know that the 2.73:1 upgrade to 3.08:1 was done AT FORD, not at asc/McLaren! The 3.23:1 to 3.73:1 IS a normal Ford upgrade, and 3.73:1 is a standard off the shelf Ford Ratio. If this was ever done & by whom, I am not sure other than to say from the printed material from asc/McLaren, it looked like it was to be installed by ????? someone.
