Subject: Exceptions for McLarens

Hey Sandy, this is Anthony again. Boy I really hit you hard this
weeks, sorry! I live in NJ as you may recall, and I am asking you
cause you also live here. My 88, I believe, came with the
(optional?) tinted windows. Well, my 14-day red ticket for
inspection is up, and I have to get it inspected. My question is, is
there any way to get around pulling the tint off, given the fact that
it came tinted from the factory, does this fall under a special
instance category at Motor Vehicles or anything? I thought maybe
your windows came tinted, and you may have already had to deal with
this when inspecting yours. The window has the name "Alternative
Etching" in the lower right hand corner, which could be a company ASC
hired to do the tint??? I have no clue, but I thought maybe you
would. I really like the tint, and don't want to pull it off if I
don't have to. The new Mercedes that come tinted from the factory
are legal, so I want mine to be!!! I already got out of one ticket,
because I told the cop it was rare 2-seater and only 1015 were made
in 88 and the top gets concealed like a Mercedes, and he forgot all
about the ticket and we sat there bullsh!tt!n' for ten minutes, but I
have a feeling thats not gonna work with all the cops, especially
when they pull me over for speeding (which I will totally deny!).
