Subject: Paint Color Inter-changabilty Chart

For those of you with a 1987 through 1990 asc/McLaren, should you
incur body damage, and need an entire panel repaired & painted, you
should use ONLY SIKKENS (brand) paint. You'll need to locate a
repair center that uses the SIKKENS Paint Process. There are not a
whole lot of them, but there are several in every state. In order to
reach SIKKENS, you can call 1-404-447-6660. However, like most of
us, their area code has probably been changed since the September
1984 date I have on THAT phone number! They are located at 6040-H
Northbelt Drive, in Norcross, Georgia, so just call 4-1-1 and ask
information for SIKKENS in Norcross, Georgia. When you get them,
give them YOUR ZIP CODE and they'll direct you to the nearest several
auto body repair shops in your area. I ALSO have BRANCHS in the
following cities:
Baltimore/Boston/Chicago/Dallas/Detroit/Los Angeles/New
York/Philadelphia/San Francisco and Seattle.
If you want one of those numbers, ask me. Click "members" on the
left column for my e-mail address, the one at the top of this page is
wrong, and try as I might.....I can't change it.
NOW.....Should you have a little scratch, or a little chip (stone
chip) or door ding chip that you just want to "touch-up" ~~ do not go
to SIKKENS, as the least amount of paint they'll usually sell you is
equlivient to a quart, and is made to be sprayed on professionallly.
This SIKKENS paint is the Rolls Royce/Bentley of paint! You pay
dearly thru your wallet for it. We're talking like $35.00 for that
size container. You can, however obtain a small $5.00 tube (Stick)
of touch up paint *** IF *** you know the real ORIGIN of the
color!!!!! I have been working on this cross-reference chart for
years. I DO NOT HAVE EVERY COLOR, I do realize this! I will
herewith post the colors that I have, Okay? IF your color is NOT
here it's because I have not located its origin yet!

asc/McLaren Red is Audi's "Laser Red" from 1994 thru 2001
Sterling Silver is Ford Escort(s) Silver Metallic (1983)Code 1Q
Atlantic Blue is Ford(s) "Dark Shadow Blue" of 1986 (Code 7B)
AzurA Blue is Merkur XR4Ti(s) "AzurE Blue" of 1986/87 Code 0T
Black~Cherry is Cadillac color of same name 1985 Code 79
Royal Gold is Jeep Cherokee color of "Sand Metallic" 1989 Code Y3
HOT Yellow is Porsche "Speed Yellow" 1987-2002
Candy Red is Toyota Supra color of Red Pearl Met. of 1987/8 Code 3H1
Regal Red~Fox is Merkur XR4Ti "Regal Red" of 1986 Code 00
Gunmetal is Cadillac's Academy Gray of 1986 Code 84
Paris Blue is Merkur XR4Ti Biscay Blue of 1988 - Code 03
Sea Foam Aquamarine is Ford Festiva "Aqua" of 1992 and also Ford
Aspire of 1993 - Code SE.

The following colors I am still hunting down, and have proven the
most difficult:
Regatta Blue - Used on 1987 & 1988 cars
Dino Yellow - Used on 1990 ONLY
Keweenau White - Used 1987 thru 1990
Coral Red (a.k.a. Cotton Candy Pink) - Used on 1 1990 ONLY
