HI Mario. I just had the same thing happen on my 87
that you did. There was 1/2 in space on both sides. I
let the top strech for a couple of months and it didnt
help.I had the installer send the orginal top back to
the maker of the new one , to compare the
measurements. They told him that I must have an 86
style top asembly. I dont think that is right , but
what can I prove. I had to have him replace the center
part for 400 bucks. It fits nice now. It alsoe was so
tight that there was to much space between the headed
and the top assembly.Dan
