This car might actually be a conversion done by Intermeccanica. You
can go to their website--http://www.intermeccanica.org/ and go to
the bottom right of the home page and click on vehicle history and
then click on Mustang Cabrio and they give a short history of the
car.
According to the website, "The ASC McLaren is a direct descendant of
the Intermeccanica Mustang convertible." and there is more. There are
2 pics of 2 different cars and one looks like the car in the auction,
vaguely.
