I was driving down the road, and saw a McLaren vert in a garage. So I slammed on the brakes and stopped the car. Meanwhile, their is someone in it backing out onto the busy road. I start waving my hands at the guy. He noticed me, pulled back in, and we talked for a good 20 minutes. The car was an 89, car # 66. It had 63k on it. Red with tan interior and a black top. It was overall pretty sharp, the interior needed a cleanup. I thought the black headrests on the seats looked a little goofy. The car had been repainted, although the guy kept saying that it is in it's original form, down to the detail. He even showed me the designed by... plaque, which was placed from the factory on the dash. He said it was the only that had that. He also said that it never came with taillight covers, despite the holes. Wheels were a little worn, needed a polish. He wants to sell it, he was asking 7500, which I think was a little much. It needed a new top. Also, did these cars have the same side skirts as the Capri's? This one had skirts similar to a Cobra. Under the misc photo's, the red and white one look like Capri skirts, but the Henry's gold one looks like the one I saw tonight. In any event, that's my story.
