Ken,
Pity poor me. Reading your explanation of computer technology and
all that you posted, would be akin to my handing you a medical book
and asking you to perform a liver transplant! he he he! Later, when
my 18 year old son comes home, I will have him try & open it!

The only real problem with these cars is that power pull down motor
and release for the top. I understand that the earlier Capris have a
different set-up, but it's a pain also.

There's a gentleman in Florida, that sent to me a fail-safe decive,
obtainable at any hardware store or home improvement center. In
order for it to work, you must do the conversion BEFORE you run into
trouble. After trouble - it;s too late.

I have to go out now & have now time, but later today, I'll post what
the items needed are. There are just 3. $1.75 buys all 3.
