Coupes first!!
The SOLE difference between the 1984 & the 1985 version is on the
cover of the 1984 the car is described as a "Mercury Capri
asc/McLaren" ~ Ford got a look at this and Freakin' Flipped! They
DIDN'T want THEIR name on the product, or they'd have to warrentee
asc/McLaren's work/conversion. The 2nd printing (Dated R285)
for "Revised Feb. '85 deleted any referance to Lincoln/Mercury or
Ford. The cover on that one said asc/McLaren, period.
Looking at your revised issue, you'll note that the interior shot
shows different cloth material, chromed window switch housings and a
different stereo, along with an orange asc/McLaren decal on the right
side of the dash, next to the passenger's A/C vent. This because
they used the 1984 car in the 1985 folder. No folder was issued
after the R285 one, for consumers. I do have 3 different "Dealer-
Only" Catalogs that are worded towards dealers. Yes, there are
mistakes in the catalogs, for example it says that the was a Brake
Modifacation done. Not true! Planned, but scratched in the 11th
hour. You'll also note that it says the car came in Midnight Blue.
Well, yes, until Memorial Day Weekend (May 31) ~ after which they
added Oxford White!!

Convertibles:-
3 Versions:
#1 & #2 the only difference again was the deletion of Mercury Capri
on the cover. From Mercury Capri asc/McLaren SC 2-Seat Roadster to
asc/McLaren SC 2-Seat Roadster.
#3 was indeed a 1986 issue!!!!!!!!
It showed the car with the NEW lesser standard interior, and a 2nd
pic with the former interior, now explained as optional. It also
showed a smaller picture with the new for 86 "Sports Appearance
Group" of the coupe's front fog lights/air dam, side ground effects,
and rear under bumper spoiler. All convets shown were Muscat Red
with Tan interior & Tan roof.

Regarding Mustang:
1987/1988 & 1989 featured a brouchure as well as a 1 page 8x11 sheet,
color.
The 1990 was a 8x11 sheet only, no brochure. Color.
There was a really nice hard paper 1989 Color Chart/Interior Color
Chart/Roof Color Chart. There was one (1) master 1991 color chart
printed, and ..... well you guess who has it!
The 1987 was shown in asc/McLaren Red with Light & Medium Grey
interior (top down)
The 1988 was identical.
The 1989 was Keweenau White with Dark Regatta Blue Interior &
Atlantic Blue Roof
The 1990 was in Sea Foam Aquamarine with White Interior & White top.
There were 2 printings of the 1990 8x11 one page sheet. The first
printing showed the car on the back in black & white, top down while
the 2nd printing show the car on the back in color, top up.
Whew!
