The window cleaner I used was called :
Plastic & Plexiglass Cleaner and Light Scratch Remover
I know... quite a big name for such a little bottle.
It is by a company called BLUEMAGIC
Comes in a white bottle with a blue label - in the 8 ounce size
The reason I decided to try it ( since I had nothing to lose ) was that it claimed : "Cleans and removes hairline scratches and hazing from al plastic and plexiglass surfaced"
The key thing is to follow their instructions for applying it : " Shake well. Pour onto clean cotton or terry cloth applicator or towel. Rub thoroughly onto surface. Remove with a clean portion of application and wipe dry. "
" Make sure surface is free from abrasive dirt or particles before polishing " - so do an initial pre-cleaning to make sure the road grit is not on the window before using this product... which only makes sense, because you don't want to have road grit on the window being ground into the plastic while you are trying to polish it.
The Blue Magic Inc, company is located in Cleveland, Ohio, 44128 and I found this product in our local Pep Boys... but it may be found in other automotive stores or even possibly on the Internet somewhere.
I am not sure how much the bottle cost... but it was less then $10.00 and worth every penny !
