thanks for being real sandy. i agree, the wind is on the way out,
it did look better without the chrome fender trim, i will have to
scan some pics of it without(it had the tan top still back then) i
did actually pay for it, well kinda, i was supposed to pay $5000,
plus i gave him my one of a kind, escort convertible chop top(will
have to get you a few pics of that as well).. but i never paid him
the money, and they bought the escort for me to begin with, so no i
didn;t have a dime in it. i still have all the original paperwork
and window sticker and invoice stating a wild high cost of $27989.65
out the door.
again thanks for the info you have given and will probably give more
in the future.

a few more things i wanted to mention after my readings... does
anyone ever remember the tv show "heart to heart" they had a red
covertible with tan interior asc.
you can have new windows put in your top, i used a local interior
guy. he had convertible window material by the roll. i believe it
cost me $150 for the replacement and restreching. a temp fix till i
gathered the $750 and went to see hank.
and the other was about hank, i read a bunch of negative comments.
he seemed like a good enough guy to me . in fact i envy the fact
that he was smart or lucky enough to get all these parts. i would
probably be charging more than him, cause when there gone, there
gone. i also went in person and got to pick my parts. he had a
stack off tops almost as tall as me, and every other part i
needed... side window($300)i think, all the seals(yes i bought them
all) a few more small parts and he even threw in a asc video for
free... i did call him first with a vin# and had no problem with
that. one thing i do remember is he had the molds for the headlight
and taillight covers you guys mentioned as being destroyed, unless
he had made some new ones. any way i guess alot of it has to do
with the way you deal with people. dont ever expect to get
something for nothing.
