The '84-'85 air cleaner decal had the black lettering only.
It read either "5.0 Liter EFI HO" if you had a CFI fuel injected car or "5.0
Liter 4V HO" if it was carbureted.

Previously in '83 was when the air cleaner decal had the black stripe in a
circle around the air cleaner top with the clear letters (letting the
aluminum shine through) reading "5.0 Liter 4V H.O."

'82 was the same style decal as '83 except it read "5.0 Liter H.O." (no
4-barrel carb until '83)

Obviously the '82 & '83 information does not apply to a McLaren but I
figured the info might be useful in explaining when the different decals
were used so you can rule out the one's that aren't correct.
