Looks to me like the entire 7,000+ miles was run on a dyno ! I think
another viable reason for the low bid on the white '89 could be the
public's (even the Mustang enthusiast's) lack of knowledge of our
car's, their original cost, their rarity and the amount of
crafstmanship that went into making them. In general, people are
unwilling to pay for what they do not understand. Without
understanding, there can be no appreciation. By the way as Tom
pointed out to me, my question is why, at 10,000 miles was she
wearing non- O.E.M. tires, that were of poorer quality and speed
rating than she came with from the factory? No car needs new tires
at 10,000 miles, unless the owner wants to UPgrade into a better &
more expensice tire. The Non OEM black floor mats I can chalk up to
maybe he's got the OEMs in the trunk under warps....
Lastly, maybe the Claret~Wine roof with the Scarlet Red interior
clash turned people off. I, for one don't like it. Top UP it's an
attractive Claret~Wine over white, and top down it's a white car with
red interior - - but, with that door open and the eye taking in the

obscenely high reserve and it's not even worth their effort or time

near that amount with tons of miles on them and this car probably
would have gotten what the seller wanted for it if he had started the
