It was pointed out to them by the top mfgr. that the seems of the
87/88 were not like the Mercedes top that they were trying to copy.
The revised 89/90 tops are 100% identical to that of the same year
Mercedes SL converts. By changing to the new way, it got rid of
the "flap" appearance over the "C" pillar.
lets add several gaudy seams, it will make the lines of the car much
