Sandy,

I read your letter that you sent and was posted on The Four Eyed Pride site
about this car.

The company that you had mentioned as "Carson Concepts" is in fact Cars &
Concepts, they were based in Brighton, Michigan and were very much like ASC
in that they did a lot of prototype work for the "big three".

They actually did the finish work on the production Mustang convertibles for
Ford from 1983-1993. In 1994 Ford went back to making convertibles
completely in-house on the assembly line in Dearborn.

They also did some other conversions that they themselves marketed including
a Lincoln Mark VII in the mid eighties called the GTC.
(I always wanted one of these cars too) :)

If you have a December 1985 issue of Car & Driver, there is a road test of
this unique Mark VII. This car was no doubt the inspiration for the special
edition Mark VII LSC's that were all monochromatic that were made in the
last couple of years before the change to the Mark VIII.

Cars & Concepts was integrated with Creative Industries which was later
integrated with Masco Tech. I doubt that anyone that originally was with C&C
is there anymore but in the mid-eighties the company president was Dave
Draper.

I hope this helps you in your search.

Brent
